Prof. Dr. Rita Müller ist seit 2014 Direktorin des Museums der Arbeit in der Stiftung Historische Museen Hamburg. Sie studierte Geschichte und Germanistik und promovierte im Bereich Sozial- und Wirtschaftsgeschichte. Davor war sie unter anderem am Landesmuseum für Technik und Arbeit in Mannheim, heute Technoseum, und im Zweckverband Sächsisches Industriemuseum tätig. Seit 2018 ist sie im Vorstand des Deutschen Museumsbundes. Im Rahmen der Neukonzeption des Museums der Arbeit beschäftigt sie sich mit Beteiligungsformaten und Fragen zur Zukunft der Arbeit. Prof Dr Rita Müller has been director of the Museum of Work at the Historic Museums Hamburg Foundation since 2014. She studied History and German Studies and completed her doctorate in the field of social and economic history. Before that, she worked at the State Museum of Technology and Work in Mannheim, now the Technoseum, and the Saxon Museum of Industry Association. She has been a member of the board of the German Museums Association since 2018.
