Prof. Dr. Joachim Baur ist Kurator und Professor für Empirische Kulturwissenschaft am Institut für Kunst und Materielle Kultur der TU Dortmund. Er lehrt und forscht zu Repräsentationen von Migration, Analysen materieller Kultur, Geschichte und Zukunft des Museums, kuratorische Theorie und Praxis. Mit Katrin Pieper betreibt er seit 2010 das Büro »Die Exponauten. Ausstellungen et cetera« in Berlin. Zahlreiche Ausstellungen, zuletzt u.a. Über/Sehen. Bildregime der Migration (Duisburg 2023), Moving Things. Zur Materialität von Flucht und Migration (Göttingen 2022), Räume des Wissens. Prof. Dr. Joachim Baur is a curator and Professor of Cultural Anthropology at the Institute for Art and Material Culture at TU Dortmund University. He teaches and researches on representations of migration, material culture, the history and future of museums, curatorial theory and practice. Together with Katrin Pieper, he has been running the curatorial agency „Die Exponauten. Ausstellungen et cetera“ in Berlin since 2010. Numerous exhibitions, most recently: Over/Looked. Visual Regimes of (Forced) Migration (Duisburg 2023), Moving Things. On the Materiality of Flight and Migration (Göttingen 2022), Spaces of Knowledge. Permanent Exhibition at Forum Wissen Göttingen (2022), Das Kapital. 150 Years of Critique of Political Economy (Museum der Arbeit Hamburg, 2017/18).
