Chiara Marchini studierte Germanistik und Kunstgeschichte. Nach Stationen an der Europäischen Kommission in Brüssel und der Extra City Kunsthal Antwerpen betreute sie verschiedene digitale Projekte am Zentrum für Kunst und Medien Karlsruhe. Es folgten Tätigkeiten als Datenredakteurin am Deutschen Dokumentationszentrum für Kunstgeschichte – Bildarchiv Foto Marburg und als Projektkoordinatorin am Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin. Seit 2019 arbeitet sie für die Fachstelle Museum der Deutschen Digitalen Bibliothek am Institut für Museumsforschung. Dort berät und begleitet sie Museen deutschlandweit bei der Publikation ihrer Sammlungsbestände in der DDB und in Europeana. Sie ist Mit-Initiatorin der 2022 gegründeten AG Minimaldatensatz. Chiara Marchini studied German and art history. After working at the European Commission in Brussels and the Extra City Kunsthal Antwerp, she supervised various digital projects at the Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. This was followed by positions as a data editor at the German Documentation Center for Art History – Image Archive Photo Marburg and as a project coordinator at the House of World Cultures in Berlin. Since 2019, she has been working for the Museum Department of the German Digital Library at the Institute for Museum Research. There she advises and supports museums across Germany in the publication of their collections in the DDB and in Europeana. She is co-initiator of the Minimum Dataset Working Group founded in 2022.
