Dr. Mirijam Streibl ist Österreicherin und lebt in Deutschland. Sie ist Musikwissenschaftlerin, Sound Artist und hat eine Ausbildung in Community Based Conflict Resolution. Der Welt nähert sie sich am liebsten mit den Ohren. Deshalb widmet sie sich forschend dem Hören und dem Klang um uns herum, der sogenannten Soundscape. Sie arbeitet für Unternehmen, Museen und Kultureinrichtungen immer dann, wenn es nötig ist verschiedenste Themen in Raum, Klang und Miteinander zu vermitteln. Sie konzipierte den Hör-Raum der „friedens räume“ in Lindau: eine Herausforderung inhaltlich auszuloten ohne politisch zu werden, damit das Konzept zwar auf klaren Werten fußt, aber Austausch in der Vielfalt für die Besucherinnen erlaubt bleibt.
Dr Mirijam Streibl is austrian and lives in Germany. She is a musicologist, sound artist and graduate of the programm Community Based Conflict Resolution. She prefers to approach the world with her ears. That is why she dedicates herself to researching listening and the sound around us, the so-called soundscape. She works for companies, museums and cultural institutions whenever it is necessary to convey a wide variety of topics in space, sound and togetherness. She designed the Listening-Space in the museum “friedens räume”, Lindau: a challenge to explore the content without becoming political, so that the concept is based on clear values but still allows visitors to exchange ideas in diversity.
