Dr. Claudia Emmert ist seit Oktober 2014 Direktorin des Zeppelin Museums Friedrichshafen. Ihr Studium der Kunstgeschichte, Germanistik und Romanistik an der Universität Stuttgart schloss sie mit einer Promotion über Kandinsky ab. Von 1994 bis 1999 war sie Leiterin der Galerie der Stadt Fellbach und stv. Kulturamtsleiterin. Von 1999 bis 2009 leitete sie das bundesweit tätige DSVKunstkontor im Deutschen Sparkassenverlag in Stuttgart. Von 2009 bis 2014 war sie Gründungsdirektorin des Kunstpalais in Erlangen und Leiterin der Städtischen Sammlung Erlangen. Darüber hinaus erfüllte sie verschiedene Lehraufträge, u.a. an der Staatlichen Modeschule Baden-Württemberg, an der Hochschule der Sparkassen Finanzgruppe in Bonn, sowie am Kunsthistorischen Institut der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Emmert ist Mitglied im Vorstand von ICOM Deutschland, im „Fachausschuss Bildung“ des Deutschen Kulturrates, im wissenschaftlichen Beirat des Lernorts Landshut der Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung und in der Ankaufkommission für die „Sammlung zeitgenössischer Kunst der Bundesrepublik Deutschland“.
Dr Claudia Emmert is director of the Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen since 2014. She completed her studies in art history, German and Romance studies at the University of Stuttgart with a doctorate on Kandinsky. From 1994 to 1999, she was director of the Galerie der Stadt Fellbach and deputy head of the cultural department. From 1999 to 2009, she managed the nationwide active DSVKunstkontor at Deutscher Sparkassenverlag in Stuttgart. From 2009 to 2014, she was the founding director of the Kunstpalais in Erlangen and head of the Erlangen Municipal Collection. She has also held various teaching positions, including at the Staatliche Modeschule Baden-Württemberg, the Hochschule der Sparkassen Finanzgruppe in Bonn and the Institute of Art History at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Emmert is a member of the board of ICOM Germany, the „Education Committee“ of the German Cultural Council, the scientific advisory board of the Lernort Landshut of the Federal Agency for Civic Education and the acquisition commission for the „Collection of Contemporary Art of the Federal Republic of Germany“.
