Dr. Birgit Schneider-Bönninger, geboren 1963 in Kamen, studierte Geschichte, Politik und Publizistik in Münster und promovierte in Dortmund mit einem kommunalwissenschaftlichen Thema. Nach dem Referendariat gestaltete sie 14 Jahre innovative Kulturarbeit in Wolfsburg. Als Direktorin des Stuttgarter Kulturamts (2013-2019) hat sie die Marke „Zukunftslabor Kultur“ geprägt und kulturelle Zukunftsforschung als Verwaltungsaufgabe etabliert. Seit 2019 ist sie gewählte Beigeordnete für Sport und Kultur in der Bundestadt Bonn. Dr Birgit Schneider-Bönninger, born in Kamen in 1963, studied history, politics and journalism in Münster and completed her doctorate in Dortmund with a thesis on municipal science. After completing her traineeship, she spent 14 years designing innovative cultural work in Wolfsburg. As Director of the Stuttgart Department of Culture (2013-2019), she shaped the „Zukunftslabor Kultur“ brand and established cultural futurology as an administrative task. Since 2019, she has been the elected head of the sports and culture department in Bonn.
